Welcome to the CLACS newsletter!
Our rain-soaked April was filled with a successful 35th anniversary of the Latin American Film Series, as well as a visit to UWM by Ambassador Paulo Camargo, the Brazil Consul General from Chicago. April was an application deadline month for several spring student scholarships and I hope you will congratulate the recipients listed in the Student News section. The month of May not only brings the warmer weather but signals the end of the semester, final exams and students graduating.
This is the last newsletter until the fall and I wanted to wish everyone a great summer. If you are able, relax and have some fun at a Música del Lago concert at the ALTERRA by the Lake (see Outreach section).
